RapidM specialises in the development of HF radio modems that comply with MIL-STD-188-110B and STANAG 4539, which are able to transfer data over significant distances (10 000 kilometres and more) without any fixed infrastructure, using radio waves reflected by the Earth’s ionosphere. The HF radio modems are capable of achieving data rates of up to 9600 bps over a standard 3 kHz (SSB) HF radio channel and 19200 bps over an ISB channel.
End users include military, government and commercial organisations requiring satellite independent world-wide communications such as users within NGOs, the mining and mineral exploration sector, geographical survey companies, the commercial fishing industry, civil and military defense organisations, emergency services, transportation companies, the tourist and recreation industry and remote communities.
